Christmas Ideas

I need help! I'm going Christmas shopping in a few days and I'm getting desperate for ideas for Nick. Does anyone have any ideas for a 15 year old boy that don't involve video games. That's the only thing he can come up with and Mark's family won't buy that for gifts. They also won't buy gift certificates so that rules that out as well.
I really need ideas for a couple of gifts that are about $20-30 each. I'm really getting desperate! If anyone has any ideas- I'd love to hear them!!

Oh my, I don't have experience with what 15 year old boys like - my son is nearly 7. What about something in the sporty line..some equipment, or a sports ticket pack? Does he like photography or filming, maybe something for that? A Blackberry, or some computer gadget? Man, what do 15 year old boys like?

That is a hard question. I am already having a hard time with my almost 11 year old with this. All I can think of is clothes of some kind and then you just return them and he can get what he wants! LOL

I hope you come up with something because I believe I've got his name!!

I googled this and I found a website called www.gifts.com where you can search for gifts based on their age and personality.

What about stuff for photography? He seems to enjoy that a little.

Sheet music for his guitar?

Hunting equipment - binoculars - swiss army knife...

I also ready someone got their gaming kid one of those low gaming chairs (kind of bean-shaped) - which wouldn't technically be a "video game" item...

I guess those are the only things I can think of for now. I'll keep my eyes peeled though!

There is a book out right now called The Dangerous Lives of Boys, or something like that? I think it's for about that age group? That's a toughie, at that age all I give are gift cards because they are just programmed to think everything an adult buys for them (that isn't a video game) is baby-ish. Craig's Cruisers and Circuit City or I would be at a total loss too!!

Clueless! I have the same issue with Zack. However he is a huge hunter so I usually hand the gift buying over to Mark and let him figure out gifts for Zack. So there is my idea tell Mark it is his job!

Good luck with this one, I think alot of the suggestions are good but we give money to all our grand kids just because we don't know what is in now... :)

Logan is also 15 and loves the video game stuff but also loves the computer programming stuff such as books and accesories for the computer. If he likes to read, does he have a few favorite authors? I don't know if I'm being much help. I just started sending money to Mike's nieces and nephews and they're having a ball picking out what they want.

Ir ealize that not all boys are like mine, but I have a couple ideas...
my 15 year old would love any of these items...
Basketball (a really NICE one he said)
Magic Trick sets
Juggling book and balls
Kinex (the "like Legos" but better toy) they even have motorized ones...that is cool!
Anything that BUILDS and then MOVES
Remote Controls are on the top of his list too!

I hope it helped a tad...MUSIC was the only other thing he said, but each kid's taste is so different. He likes, Skillet, Red and Toby Mac!

how about books, I know he loves to read and maybe he would like some books. or, like Laura said, photography stuff. otherwise I can't think of anything. but I can't believe they won't buy videogames and gift certificates, that's like the only thing i would ever come up with for boys. (except with nick since he loves photography and reading, but most boys hate reading so what else are you suppose to buy them?)

This falls into gift certificate, but what about movie tickets? 15 year old boys- HARD to buy for- if it's not video games or gift certificates. Music is always a good option if he can tell you exactly what he wants.

I'm with Brenda. I'm stuck for help with Jeremiah too! Does Nick read? What about Christian CD's? I didn't read the other comments so maybe someone already mentioned those. What about a big soft fleece to wrap up in? Is that to girly?
