4 or 5 Seasons in the year?

Halle was looking at the calendar today and flipped it to November and says to me-
"Mom - it's almost my season!"
Wow times have apparently changed because the last I knew your birthday only lasted 1 day- now apparently it's a whole season! I guess she's really going to make the most of her day or week or month or season depending on how you look at it.

That is hilarious!

I say celebrate as long as you can get people to join in with you.

I'm guessing that my season is past then, huh? Shaelyn will be happy to know that she's got a season now too!

at minimum you have the 'day before your birthday', then 'your birthday', then 'happy day after your birthday'.... so it's minimum 3 days regardless. BUT, if it falls on a weekend, then you can start celebrating on Thursday night and go on thru Sunday night. of course there are those who celebrate the whole month, but i'm too old for that :)

Hey - I'm with her! Although I think she maybe could share her "season" with Mark, Me, Shaelyn and Mom too! :)

Hey, stretch it out as far as you can!!! My b-day is Dec. 30th so I get jipped between Christmas and New Years. I do turn 30 this year so hopefully it will be a good one!!!!

Isn't that every child's dream, to have their birthday be a whole season? :) LOL :) Actually, because of all of the extended family that we have, and close family friends out of town, etc, our kids' birthdays generally last for a week or so :) Not that they are complaining, of course! :)

What a neat way to look at it. But at my age I really don't want to think of it as a season any more, in fact I want to forget about the next one, but kids are so sweet with their ideas.

My Mom does the same thing!! She stretches hers out as long as possible. Too much fun!!

You have to start training the family early! You have to get ALL you can out of your big day! I say give her a SEASON!!!
