Awwww- so sweet

Or not.....

On Saturday morning the girls were having a wee bit of a difficult time getting along. There was alot of bickering going on so after hearing one too many squabbles we made them stand in the middle of the room and hold hands.

It really worked well. They stood there for about 4-5 minutes being stubborn and not wanting to apologize to each other. If you look closely at Halle's face- it really sums up their feelings well. Then finally, they couldn't help but to start laughing.

Hopefully we won't have to use this too often, but when I need to- it does work really well!

Aww! I had to laugh at Halle's expression. I think my mom used to do something similar with me and my brother, but we didn't have to hold hands :)

OH NO YOU HAVE TURNED INTO MY FATHER!!!! He used to make me and my sister, Julie, sit indian style facing eachother with our knees touching. I HATED IT!!! Are these really the memories you want for your children?!?!?!?
I am just giving you a hard time. I have been known to make my children hug each other for extended lengths of time myself.
Smiles!

That picture is too funny! Remember when Mom made us face each other until we could smile at the other person again?

Would this work with my kids as well?

My mom did this to us. I hated it. We had to sit in a chair and stare at each other. But it did work!

Leslie,
I believe Mari is 9 years older than me-
Duane is 7 years older than me and Terri is 4 years older than me.
I love having 3 siblings! Wouldn't change it for the world!

Why did I not know about this technique when my girls were little. What a great idea. Sounds like you had wise mother who taught you girls well. Did you 3 girls ever fight? Nawww, you didn't did you?

Isn't it just frustrating when they spend the day just bickering and fighting?

I do something similar to mine, I make them hug which really irks them LOL So when they start up the bickering we remind them that they need to hug and say I Love you and it stops straight away LOL
