Pumpkin Carving

While I was at the retreat, Mark and the girls carved our pumpkins that we grew.
I was thrilled, because I'm not a lover of the mess that goes along with this fun time!

I think they did a really good job and the girls were really proud of their pumpkins!

very cool! here's a neat little trick I read in some parenting magazine or something. if you cut your circle out of the bottom of the pumpkin you can cut a smooth surface to set the candle on, it also makes it easier to light and you never have to worry about the tid falling in.

That makes me want to hit the pumpkin patch tomorrow! We have never done that because we haven't "done" halloween in the past. But I'm itchin' for a little fall fun!

I don't blame you for wanting to be out of the house for this - I couldn't stand the smell either as well as the mess! The pumpkins turned out great though! Good job girls... & Mark! :)
