It was a big night!

Well another big hurdle was crossed last night by one of my kids.

Mark took Nick last night to get his drivers permit. And so it begins....
He does a good job driving and I'm very proud of him- but it still makes me nervous on the busy roads and highways. I'm sure it will be fine with time but the first couple times I think I'll let Mark go with him~

Believe me... I feel your pain! I don't care how cautious they are driving - they're new drivers and there's so many "idiots" on the road that don't follow proper road etiquette. Experience can only be achieved with time so I guess that means a lot of white knuckling in the passenger seat! :)

I am sure Nick will be fine. He looks so young! I remember when Amanda started all that and it does make you nervous. I think it is the protective mother thing. Amanda turned out to be a fine driver. She is almost 17 now and I still wonder sometimes how she is. Especially with all the crazy drivers out there.

I do like all the rules with driving and how many hours they need to get to the next segment. A process, but well worth it.

Yeah Nick! Good luck on getting those 50 hours now.

Good job,Nick! Now make sure you keep that permit in a safe place,I know someone who has misplaced his a few times. And if you just blow your horn when you leave your driveway then I'll know to give you a little time before I leave.jk.Take care,Patty

Start watching for opportunities for night driving. Those are the toughest. I do find that sometimes Dave is more patient than I am!

OMG..there is no way her is old enough to drive! Do you know how old that makes YOU??? I saw what looked like a 12 year old driving yesterday! YIKES!! Good luck with that!

My kids have been driving for years and I still hate riding will all of them.

Happy "putting your finger nails through the dash" days.

Oh my word. I am nervous for you just looking at him. Of course, it makes me think of being a nervous new driver with my permit, too.

Cherie,

I have only a few months on you my friend. Our oldest is driving now, officially. I remember one of the few times I took her driving. She said that I was making her nervous because I wasn't talking to her.

I told her that I couldn't talk and pray at the same time!

Love, Joanne
