The next storm

I know I said I wasn't going to post again until after Christmas- however......

Want to see what 70 mile per hour winds can do??

This wasn't what we expected to see when we left for church this morning! Yes- that is a metal flag pole! We were woken up several times last night from the wind and ended up with 2 little girls in our room this morning.

We saw several mailboxes blown over from the wind as well. We'll see if we get the snow they're talking about now. I would like a white Christmas so I'm not complaining!

Wow! We woke up from the wind in the night too. But I haven't seen any damage in our subdivision yet. Yes, we used bumpers on one lane for the little kids and had one lane regular. Ruby actually won both of the games that we played. And yes the ball did pull her across the line a couple of times and she slipped on the greasy lane. :)

Ahhhh, do you think my house is still standing? It's great in Texas, but I'm thinking about the drive back home.

It was crazy out! I thought our house was falling apart. I expected to see ice everywhere and all the churches canceled when I got up, and it was green outside! I was surprised. The "interesting" thing though? On the way to church all the houses had their deer and Santa's tipped over. But we passed a big lighted nativity set - and every piece was still lit and still standing. Coincidence? I don't know... :)

That is amazing that your flag pole was taken down.

That wind was something else. The Thunder I heard in the middle of the night was crazy too!!!

That's crazy! I am glad you all are ok. I bet the extra snuggle time was great though! We live in hurricane country so that's not too stange to me, except it's in the winter and not muggy summer!
