What's happening in my house today

quick answer- not a whole lot! I guess I better break it down a bit to get a post made!

In the backyard: Halle pestered Nick long enough that he finally gave in and is outside playing in the snow with her and shoveling. I guess it's not genes but what kids live because Halle has certainly inherited Mark's love of shoveling. The funny thing is Nick- absolutely not (might be the age too :) )
Downstairs: Arianna is walking on the treadmill and watching cartoons waiting for supper.

In my kitchen: I'm smelling smoky link crescent wraps and homemade pizza cooking in the oven.

At my feet: I'm hearing Oscar whining because I'm not picking him up (spoiled, spoiled, spoiled!)

On my heart: I'm just plain sad. Nick's best friend's mom passed away very unexpectedly yesterday. They still don't know why. I feel so bad for this family. I think it hit me hard because of watching Nick trying to make sense of this and feeling so badly for his friend. Please keep the Rotman family in your prayers this week. They are Christians so they know they will see her again. I don't know how people get through times like this without having that faith.

Give your family an extra hug tonight. It just really hammered home to me again how quickly life can change and we can't take a moment for granted.

I'm sad too. It's so shocking. I was wondering how Nick was doing with this.

It still has not sunk in that she is gone! I'll pray for Nick as he helps Daniel go through this!

I was in shock when I heard about Pam. I still have a hard time wrapping my brain around it. The Rotman's are in our prayers.

This brings such sadness to my heart for the Rotmans. A family in our church is still suffering the loss of their mother a few years ago. It is not easy. When the mother is taken out of the home, the sunshine leaves too. A mother creates a home.
We will pray for them at this time.

I feel bad going on doing the stuff we do everyday when we know at the Rotman house everything has changed. Praying is the most important thing for us to do right now. I'm including Nick in those prayers. I found out sunday that Halle does have a lot of energy, funny that she uses that energy to shovel.LOL Take care,Patty

Life is so fragile and can change in an instant. I'm sorry to hear about Nick's friend's mom. Making sense of it will be hard, maybe never happen. I've prayed just now and will do so again as this family comes to mind ...

I feel bad for them too! It makes me stop and think how wonderful it is that we are all healthy! Even Jord with all his issues with his back--he is happy and healthy for the most part.
It is so bizarre that there is no normal right now for them!! They are in my prayers!
Do you think she would like to shovel the poop out of the horse stalls as much as she likes to shovel snow . . LOL
