Happy Anniversary

I'm in need of your help. Tomorrow is our 17th Anniversary and I am looking for some ideas of some great date ideas and favorite restaurants. We usually just go out to dinner, but I want to do something different this year. We don't like seafood but other than that we're pretty open to all types of food. I don't want to do anything that is overly expensive, but I would like to not be so predictable either.

One other thing- can anyone explain to me how I can be having my 17th Anniversary when I'm still only 25 years old-smiles!!!!

They allowed 5 year olds to marry back then! LOL! Something different, hummm There is a restaurant called the Sardine Room in Muskegon that Steve and I have gone to. It's good. You can go dressed up or casual! the name alone is different! It's near Muskegon Beach too! If it were going to be a nice day it's great for a romantic walk! Otherwise I love Carrabas!

I will try to explain your 17 years after you have explained to me my 19 years this July. Yikes! That makes me sound so old. I was actually thinking it was 18 until it dawned on me that Zack just turned 17 and I realized that I must have it wrong. Pulled up the handy calculator and sure enough it will be 19 years.

I think I may have mentioned it once or twice on my blog that our favorite restaurant is Rose's. However, their dinner choices are a little costly $21-$25 but we don't usually order that even at dinnertime we order sandwiches, a glass of wine (just one glass, Mark can't have it he is diabetic) and some creme brulee (Mark gets cheesecake, doesn't that sound like a diabetic dessert) to top it all off. Yummy!!!

-Smiles!

When you figure out how the whole "number of years married" works then let me know because we'll be celebrating our 20th in June! Mike and I are actually going to a hotel for the night in Holland tonight and there's so many great restaurants along the highway on the north side. We might go to Logan's Roadhouse or Johnny Carrino's. Fire Mountain is another good place to go (on Alpine)- buffet style. Olive Garden is pretty good but not one of my favorites (also on Alpine). Wherever you go - HAVE FUN!

I do like Carino's in Holland! Yum!

I am so out of ideas Or wait. What about the Bil Mar in Grand Haven? You can sit by the windows and watch the sun set! Well if its not too cloudy!

I'm the wrong person to ask.....

But, when we lived in the States there was a fondue restaurant that we liked to eat at called The Melting Pot. It's different and someplace we wouldn't go with children if we were living in the U.S. right now and celebrating an anniversary.

i agree with jennifer. it's not the cheapest place to eat but it's tons of fun. it takes between 2-3 hours to eat. my husband took me there for my birthday and it's my new favorite restaurant.

Happy Anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long, but then again when I look at our kids I guess it's true.

Happy Anniversary!
I agree, Carino's is a great place becuase you can be as casual or as dressy as you choose. And the food prices are good. There's another restaurant in Holland that I just heard about, I don't remember the name, but they cook the food right at your table for you! Hope you have a great night! :)

Sorry, my friend, I cannot help you out with any suggestions for eating out in your area, but have a great time where ever you go!

Happy Anniversary! I don't have any advice b/c we don't have any nice restaurants around us. I hope you enjoy yourselves!

We always love to go to Outback steak house and to cut cost we usually split a meal. That is kind of romantic and healthier too! We save that place for special occasions.

Hope you have a great one!
Much love,
Angela

Carrabas is a fave! Melting pot is expensive. Never been there heard that it was awesome. I like to go with a bunch of people to KOBE.
Try the new Texas Roadhouse in
Grandville

We like to go to Great Lakes Shipping on Breton, but it's not cheap. You can go to Kobe and see my daughter...it's not cheap either.

I hear Mr Burger is romantic, hehe

Hey, just wait until you are 30 years out of high school and heading for 30 years of marriage. There is no way I'm old enough for that either. If it makes you feel better you look ma-vu-lus da-ling!

Happy Anniversary!!!!!
