Soccer starts

We were supposed to start soccer last Saturday but the rain delayed it to this week.
It started out as a crazy day because we had to have Halle there at 7:30 for an 8:00 game and Arianna there for pictures at 8:00 for an 8:30 game.

Halle won her game 8-0! Arianna tied 1-1. They both did really well. They worked hard throughout the whole game. We were very proud of both of them.

Soccer

Arianna started her soccer season this past Saturday. I don't quite know what to say about her team. Let me put it this way- the score was 10-0 not in our favor. Now I'm not one of those competitive moms and I don't have a problem losing- in fact I think it's good for them once in awhile. However whoever put these teams together I don't think did a good or fair job. I don't think it's good for the kids to feel defeated every week either. Our team is all really small kids and it's looking like it's going to be a long season. I'm not counting us out yet but it's really not looking good either!
We'll see what next week brings.

End of soccer

Last Saturday was the end of the soccer season. I was really pleased with doing soccer with Arianna. She really loved it and it wasn't a sport that was overwhelming with practices and games.
We really had the best coach of them all. He was a very calm, supportive coach who wasn't yelling all the time- (there were a couple like that).
I just hate it when the coaches or the parents get so competitive. I don't feel that's a good emphasis for the kids at all!
Arianna got a trophy at the end- all the teams got the same trophy- there were no first places or last places- very cool!
The really special thing was that her coach bought all the girls a really cute bracelet and engraved their names and they had a little soccer ball on them. I thought that was so sweet of him!
