Walking in the woods

You might remember last year I posted about walking in the woods that are by our house.
Mark, Mack and the kids went again Sunday afternoon.
I had a hard time narrowing down the pictures because they got really great shots. There are quite a few coming so bear with me:

Look how deep the snow is on Mack:

Halle is obviously enthralled with something in that ice:

Look at the cool formations the ice made:

Click on this picture and blow it up. If you're from around here and you look closely you'll see the overpass in the distance

The water line in the trees:

The kids made an ice ramp to slide on:

I just love this picture- how cool is that!

They were strong enough to hold Nick:

I showed these pics to Dave and even though he grew up out there he was amazed at the amazing things they captured. He loved the one of Nick on the ice hanging there.

That looks like so much fun! The water line on the trees looks like "snow mushrooms" and before I saw the pic of Nick swing on the branch, I thought it looked like a snow tire swing! Great photos!

Cheri, When you talk about a water line, is there a river under the snow?

Gorgeous pictures, by the way!
UNBELIEVABLE!

Since we winter in Texas so we don't see snow anymore so I really enjoyed the pictures. I don't want to experience snow anymore, just pictures. ha

You certainly have a good eye for a great photo. The snow piling up and falling off the trees and the children playing in it all are beautiful.
My first visit to your blog - from CherDecor. Nice blog.
