I wanted to tell you all about an opportunity for you and your family to participate in.
Kim sent out an email giving information on a program to support our service men and women. It's called "adopt a soldier."
You go to the website and fill in a short form and then they set you up with a soldier. You can email, write letters, send packages- whatever you want to do- as much or little.
I signed up and I'm so excited about this program. I got set up with a woman soldier serving in Iraq. The really cool part is that she works with Apache Helicopters- just like my nephew Andy. Isn't God cool how he works!!
I think it will be so fun for the kids to be able to participate in this as well.
I can't imagine being so far from home without all the contact we take for granted.

It really looks like God lead you into this one by giving you someone who works with the Apache Helicopters like your nephew. That is great!

This is a great program. I'm sure that families as well as the soldiers they adopt will be blessed!
Wow I think that is a God thing for sure. Very nice thing to do as well.
We are on the same wavelength! I just got an email from a very similar program that they are desperate for sponsors and was going to put a link on my blog. We've sponsored two soldiers for over a year and it is such a blessing to our family!
