We were going through things on the computer that we could delete to gain memory and much to my surprise and delight every time I transfer pictures to Picassa- my computer saves them to a file on my computer.
I had no idea it did that but I'm delighted!

Yeah!!! I'm so happy for you - what a relief. Your problems did have a silver lining for Andy. When he read about you losing your pictures he saved them, and now that his computer appears to be dead, at least he has his pictures.

It's such a sinking feeling to think they are all gone. We backed ours up and I just printed off about 50 photos just to make sure I would always have them. It's so easy to never get prints with digital.
