Oh she's a smart one....

I went to bed last night and found a little surprise. This is the lamp shade on my night stand. Click on the picture to get a close up look. Do you see the writing on it? It says Arianna.

I had a good idea who did this so I called Halle upstairs and asked her what happened to my lamp. She got this fake shocked look on her face and I gave her my-you might really want to tell my the truth here-look. She did admit that she did it. She told me she wrote Arianna's name because she wanted to practice her name because it was longer- ummm yeah, that's not why you wrote her name!!

I just had to share this because I know Terri's going to enjoy this one. I do believe she wrote Mari's name when she was younger to try and deflect attention away from herself too! This is truly scary that I have a little Terri on my hands here!!

  1. That is too funny! But to redeem herself we did pray for you yesterday in YC&W!

  2. Don't you just want to be able to see in their little minds to figure out why they would even consider writing on a lampshade. It is those things that just boggle my mind. What would make you think to do that?!?!
    Hope you are healing quickly.

Oh my! That is too funny----and even funnier that history has repeated itself!

Okay, utalking about updating Blogposts.....now you are beginning to sound like Bethanne over at Waiting for the Shout! :)

I'm sorry Cheri about your tendon. I hope it heals quickly and completely. Atleast you can munch on that yummy chocolate from New Zealand!

  4. While we are laughing at Halle's mischievousness, I am sure you are not. So it runs in the family!?!? Ha! Ha!

Hope you are healing and having a good day.

  5. Ummmm, I do believe that it was Mari who wrote Duane's name!!!!! Don't let that Mari fool you all - she's definitely not as innocent as she may seem.
I will admit to writing "Tim" on the wall when I sharpened my pencil but that was because it was the only other name I knew how to write!

  7. too funny. it's funny to see the things that kids see fit to write on. when my niece was younger she drew bulls eyes on my sister-in-laws couch. my 2 year old has already drawn on the walls and i'm sure that lampshades and the couch are just around the corner :)

    A little Terri, bawhahahahahaha!

I think I shared with you how Jenna carved Alicia's name in several pieces of woodwork in our house. It was a dead give away when I saw the chicken scratch and Alicia, being almost 4 years older, could write much neater.

    Oh the memories!

  13. Oh Oh! My daughter isn't on to that yet, we have "Emma" written on a few items around the house. I remember a friend of mine was angry as a teen and scratched her sister's name into her Mum's favourite coffee table one day.

  14. I must admit that it was me - I scratched Duane's name into the wood trim on a chair. At least she's not going to be a little Terri - that would be frightening!

  18. You are a very smart mom! I really wouldn't have thought that it was
'the other child'. My kids were too vain. They only wrote their own names everywhere.
