This picture might seem a little strange to you considering we don't have any small children in the house anymore that need gates to protect them from getting where they shouldn't.
However, on the other side of the wall is this:
You see the cold weather is putting a damper on my kitchen! Since it's getting only in the single digits at night- it's not safe for Mack to be outside in those temps.
The only area in my house without carpet is my kitchen- therefore I have a 100 pound dog in my kitchen!!!!!!!
Do you feel my pain? I love him very much, but I'm much happier when I'm not having to go through gates, tripping over huge paws and having him put his head on my table.
I'm getting a little tired of sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the table numerous times a day!
Thank goodness this cold front should be ending tomorrow and I can reclaim my kitchen!
Edited to add: He's NOT potty trained- that's why he's in the kitchen!!

I forgot about you having to let Mac in - I'm glad it's warming up for your sake!
Oh Cheri, but he's so cute!!! How can you resist those eyes!!!
He is so adorable! He looks happy to be in the house, though and not out in the cold!
Any dog who gets a teddy bear must be well loved ... is that Mack's bear on the floor there ?
Aw, he looks like about the same color as your carpet... let him free. Look at those eyes. I am sure he would behave.
Smiles!
Awwww! He is such a pretty dog! How can you fence him in? Look at that pleading look on his face! I think he wants to sleep on your nice warm carpet. I bet he has a sweet disposition!
I don't think Mack would jump on your couch or your bed or anywhere else he is not supposed to be!!
Smiles!!
Mack is a sweet dog but I cannot blame you for wishing for warmer weather!!!
As soon as I read the title and saw that gate I thought - Oh! I bet Mack is inside - Aunt Cheri's favorite! :) He is sweet and good but I understand about how when they're that big they just get in the way! :) He sure is cute though!
He's SO cute...we had a huge dog inside for years, she was house trained though, but yeah, it was a lot of dog LOL
Only a few more days.....
We have done the same with our dogs except they are in our storage room. I figure it beats the alternative of outside! I will be glad when it gets to at LEAST 20 degrees out!
Oh, I am so sorry he is not potty trained! I feel for you. I cannot wait for this cold front to pass!
Much love,
Angela
Moose on the loose is good title for your dog, that is what my aunt says about her dog as well.Peace.Mike
