So far we've been really blessed in the sick department. We haven't had anything. I'm feeling like I'm getting a cold though and I'm praying really hard that I'm not getting sick because this Friday it's a girls weekend away and on Sunday I leave for Florida for a seminar for work- not a good time to get sick.
Here's a few pictures of the fun the kids had while on break.
Arianna and Halle wanted to make snowmen so bad. We didn't have alot of snow so they had to settle for "Snow bumps!"
Another day it was only Halle and Nick that were outside with Mark. Halle sweet talked Mark into pulling her in the sled. You have to click on this picture and enlarge it so you can see her face- that sure made it worthwhile to Mark- Pure Joy!
Now, you remember I said Nick was outside also- you might be wondering where he was during all this fun- get ready for this......
wait for it.....
he's the speed bump! He's the green/brown that is underneath her sled. Is that a good brother or what!

I can't see the speed bump but I can imagine what he looks like. School tomorrow for everyone - yeah!
I know what you mean about the school lunches that was one of my pet pevees, trying to figure out good lunch that they would eat & keep it interesting & nutritious
What a good brother! And a good dad! It looks like fun!
I know I'm not ready to go back to school. I'm enjoying this time off, however, I do miss having things to fill my days with! I go back for one class Thursday, then full time Monday, so I have a couple more days...
I hope that you don't get sick. So here is my motherly advice from someone younger than you ;) ...drink lots of orange juice, and take vitamin C tablets. I was sick for one day, did this in the morning. The next day I took 2 cold pills and I was fine!!!
What a great speed bump, oh I mean brother!
That was great!
Melissa
I never heard of a human speed bump! What fun! ! ! Stay well, my friend. From reading Justabeachkat's blog, it is no warmer down there!
Like Melissa said, drink, drink, drink. (The right kind of stuff, of course.)
Thats cool. And for all you complaining about going to school again, as the army says drink water drive on.
Great pictures - those girls are luckly to have such a great Dad and brother! I am glad I don't have school lunches to do anymore - just Bob's!
Now that is some great Midwest Winter Fun!!! I loved sledding when I was young, but I am now happy with where I live. It was in the 70's today in SC:) Hope you don't get sick, and it's not too hard to get back into a routine. I'm glad you're back!!
Now that is some good Midwest Winter fun!!! I used to love sledding when I was young, but I now prefer to live where it is in the 70's in January. I love SC:)
That is hillarious. I knew Nick was a good kid.
Smiles!
Halle does have a great dad and brother - I love her face!
I hope you don't get sick! I agree with Melissa - I would add - start taking Zicam too and it really helps.
I love the picture of the snow "bumps"! That cracked me up because Dylan did the same thing the other day. His snow "bump" was even in a sled too!
Love the snow bump and the speed bump! I guess that's what winter fun is supposed to look like!!! I may have to come for a visit to see it! I think it snowed here in 2001 for like 30 minutes...that's about it!
I know that it's nice to have a break but i love a schedule - it's good to get back to the grind! the snow still kills me!
oh that is such precious fun!
Blessings,
Angela
