4 or 5 Seasons in the year?

Halle was looking at the calendar today and flipped it to November and says to me-
"Mom - it's almost my season!"
Wow times have apparently changed because the last I knew your birthday only lasted 1 day- now apparently it's a whole season! I guess she's really going to make the most of her day or week or month or season depending on how you look at it.

    That is hilarious!

I say celebrate as long as you can get people to join in with you.

  2. I'm guessing that my season is past then, huh? Shaelyn will be happy to know that she's got a season now too!

  3. at minimum you have the 'day before your birthday', then 'your birthday', then 'happy day after your birthday'.... so it's minimum 3 days regardless. BUT, if it falls on a weekend, then you can start celebrating on Thursday night and go on thru Sunday night. of course there are those who celebrate the whole month, but i'm too old for that :)

  4. Hey - I'm with her! Although I think she maybe could share her "season" with Mark, Me, Shaelyn and Mom too! :)

Isn't that every child's dream, to have their birthday be a whole season? :) LOL :) Actually, because of all of the extended family that we have, and close family friends out of town, etc, our kids' birthdays generally last for a week or so :) Not that they are complaining, of course! :)

  11. What a neat way to look at it. But at my age I really don't want to think of it as a season any more, in fact I want to forget about the next one, but kids are so sweet with their ideas.
